Happy Dental Health Month! As you may know, February has been designated
as the month to raise awareness about our pets? dental care. To do our part
Josey Ranch will be offering a 10% discount off of all dentals from now until

What you may not be aware of is that more than 85% of dogs and cats
over 4 years old have some form of periodontal disease, a painful inflammatory
condition in which bacteria attack the gums, and ligament and bone tissues
that surround and support the teeth. Dogs over 8 years of age are at a greater
risk for developing periodontal disease. Advanced periodontal disease can lead
to lung, heart, kidney and liver infections. Damage from these infections can
have lasting effects on the organs and can even shorten the lives of your pets.
Look for these warning signs:
- Bad Breath ? one of the first signs of dental disease.
- A yellowish-brown crust of plaque on the teeth near the
- Red and swollen gums.
- Pain or bleeding when your pet eats or when the mouth
or gums are touched.
- Decreased appetite or difficulty eating.
- Loose or missing teeth.
